In memory of the late Terry O’Halloran, stalwart member of the 31 Squadron RAF Association, and in commemoration of the RAF’s role in the South-east Asia (Burma) campaign of World War Two…..

On You Tube on Sunday August 10th, at 7pm, there will be the live (and free) Global Watch Party for “Dakota – Air Drops – Kohima,” a documentary instigated, written and presented by Terry in his capacity as voluntary Curator and Historian of the 31 Squadron RAF Association Museum.

A rare light will shine on the brave aviators of 31 and other squadrons and their dangerous tasks of dropping vital and life-saving supplies to the besieged Allied soldiers at Kohima and Imphal, and to Chindits behind enemy lines.

The Premiere will include tributes to Terry, who died on May 3rd, aged 80, including one by Phil Betts on behalf of the Association.

Here at Blow by Blow Productions – media partners of Terry for many years – we are carrying out his wishes in offering this programme at the time of the 80th anniversary of VJ Day. Terry believed the roles of these air crews and support teams in Burma was never fully explained to the public.
